


ArmInfo. By decree of Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Edgar Hunanyan, Commander of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of Armenia, has been dismissed from his post. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of state.
Meanwhile, according to ArmInfo sources familiar with the situation, the Border Troops Commander and his deputy had previously submitted resignation letters.
Hunanyan had held this post since July 30, 2024. Before that, he served as the First Deputy Commander- Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service.
