ArmInfo. "Sacrilege, zero sympathy, disrespect for the memory of the victims-this is a hostile regime," Garnik Danielyan, a member of the Hayastan parliamentary faction, told journalists on September 19, commenting on the absence of the Armenian authorities from the Yerablur military pantheon, as well as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's social media post today, "Elvina Makaryan's song is a beautiful start to the day," on the day of the forced expulsion of Armenians from Artsakh.
According to him, when ethnic cleansing and genocide were taking place in Artsakh, the same joy and cheerful faces of the authorities reigned in Armenia, reflecting the same cheerful and joyful life. "This man (Nikol Pashinyan) has said everything-that he consciously went to war, supposedly to gain independence (we didn't lose Nagorno-Karabakh, but gained the Republic of Armenia, Pashinyan stated earlier-ed.). At what cost? Today, a wonderful generation, the cream of the nation, rests in Yerablur and in Armenia's cemeteries, and these people don't care," said Garnik Danielyan.
To the remark that the war has objectively weakened Armenia and that the republic will have to seek peace at any cost, the opposition MP asked: "Who weakened this country? Nikol Pashinyan and his team brought this about. They say they will bring peace. They brought peace to Artsakh, too, but there are no Armenians left there. Is this the kind of peace we seek for Armenia? So that there are no Armenians left in the Republic of Armenia either? I don't need that kind of peace."
Garnik Danielyan is convinced that no conscious person seeks war. "They are the ones who bring war, disaster, sorrow, and misfortune." "They are the ones who reject our symbols, they are the ones who reject the Genocide, and they even place responsibility on the Armenians. They are the ones who make concessions every day, they are the ones who kneel, and all this is to preserve their positions and maintain their own power," the Hayastan faction MP emphasized.
For the same purpose, Danielyan believes, the authorities continue to frighten and blackmail the people with the threat of war. "Meanwhile, humans differ from animals in that they have memory," the opposition figure concluded.
Two years ago, on this day, September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan, under the pretext of an "anti-terrorist operation," launched another act of aggression against Artsakh. As a result of the enemy aggression, hundreds of Artsakh residents were wounded, and more than 200 were reported killed, including civilians. On September 20, Artsakh fell. Azerbaijan began the forced subjugation of the NKR. Today, Artsakh is completely de-Armenianized; its entire indigenous population of over 100,000 people has been forced to flee to Armenia under threat of physical violence.
Today, the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic declared September 19th the day of forced deportation of rights claims.
