ArmInfo. By 2030, the "Generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)" program, implemented jointly by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the FAST Foundation, is planned to be expanded in Armenian schools, making advanced AI education accessible to more than 85% of high school students. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Artur Martirosyan during the event "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education", organized within the framework of the annual "Digital Education Week" at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
Thanks to the program, as he noted, thousands of graduates will become not only AI users, but also creators and innovators. In this regard, Martirosyan emphasized that in Armenia, such programs are considered not only as part of the current reforms, but also as pillars of the development of the country's education system.
In particular, the Deputy Minister mentioned initiatives implemented jointly with the private sector, including the FAST Foundation, Synopsys Armenia and the TUMO Center, as successful examples.
Martirosyan emphasized that Armenia, being a small country, can become a laboratory for large countries, giving them the opportunity to experiment with how to effectively integrate AI into the educational system.
