


ArmInfo. Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the further expansion of bilateral ties in all areas, including energy and transport, at a meeting in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
According to local media, the interlocutors touched upon cooperation between SOCAR and the Turkish company Botas. In particular, the importance of supplying Azerbaijani gas to Syria via Turkey with the financial support of Qatar was noted.
The issues of implementing joint energy projects of Azerbaijan and Turkey in other countries were also discussed.
The importance of laying the foundation of the Kars-Igdir-Diluju railway line was emphasized, and an exchange of views took place on railway projects being implemented in Azerbaijan, including in Nakhchivan.
The meeting discussed the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, in particular, Turkey's stabilizing role in regional issues was highly appreciated. The heads of state exchanged views on the prospects of Azerbaijani-Turkish strategic alliance relations and other issues of mutual interest.
