
ArmInfo. A meeting between Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
The interlocutors attached importance to the meeting, emphasizing that it is an effective opportunity to discuss topical issues of bilateral relations and ways of their further development.
The parties highly appreciated the continuous and active dialogue between Armenia and Russia, emphasizing both high-level personal contacts and interstate institutional cooperation.
Issues of regional and international importance were also touched upon during the meeting.
As reported by the Kremlin press service, Putin said at a meeting with Pashinyan that he was glad to have the opportunity to talk with him, since many issues had accumulated for discussion, both bilateral and regional and international.
"I hope that our meeting today, as is usually the case when we meet, will be useful and meaningful," said Vladimir Putin.
He noted that members of the Russian and Armenian governments are in constant contact. "Our colleagues are in constant contact. Members of the Government report to me - they often visit Armenia, and your members of the Government come to Russia," Putin said.
In turn, Nikol Pashinyan said that he is glad for the partnership and the dialogue that has developed between Armenia and Russia. "I mean our personal dialogue, and, of course, the very active dialogue between our fraternal countries," the Prime Minister noted.
"It is always a pleasure to see you and talk, to communicate," Pashinyan said.
