RA Security Council  shares outcomes of Armen Grigoryan`s Iranian  meetings

ArmInfo. The Security Council Office of Armenia has shared  details of Armen Grigoryan's meeting with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pesheshkian and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani.

According to the source, Grigoryan and Pesheshkian emphasized the  determination of both countries to develop an ongoing dialogue to  establish a strategic partnership.  They also discussed the  agreements reached on August 8, which the Secretary of the Security  Council referred to as an important milestone in the peace process.  President Pesheshkian noted that recent high- level contacts between  Armenia and Iran, including his official visit to Armenia, had  contributed to an effective resolution of uncertainty in Iran.

During the meeting between Grigoryan and Ali Larijani, they noted the  existing institutional ties between the Security Council apparatuses  of their countries. The parties expressed confidence in further  strengthening and developing these ties.  The meeting discussed the  recent regional developments.  Grigoryan presented the agreements  signed on August 8, emphasizing that the process of unblocking the  region's economic infrastructure will be carried out exclusively  within the framework of full respect for the principles of  territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, inviolability of  borders, and reciprocity.

Larijani welcomed the agreements aimed at establishing peace between  Armenia and Azerbaijan, pointing out the importance of ensuring  stability and security in the South Caucasus. The bilateral agenda  between Armenia and Iran was also discussed, with an emphasis on the  necessity to enhance economic cooperation.
