ArmInfo. Installation of a pedestrian bridge has begun at Ayrum station (Tavush region), as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
The department recalled that the pedestrian bridge at Ayrum station collapsed in May of last year due to a flood. The new metal bridge, like its predecessor, is donated to the Republic of Armenia by the Islamic Republic of Iran. "Currently, the installation of the metal bridge is underway. The builders assure that the bridge will be ready very soon," the ministry noted.
According to the source, this is already the second metal bridge donated by the Iranian side to Armenia to help alleviate the consequences of the flood. The first bridge was installed near the Sanahin station in Alaverdi.
