ArmInfo. Peace is impossible, both in theory and in practice, without abandoning the Karabakh movement. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists during a briefing on August 21 after a government meeting.
He mentioned that he had made this statement from the rostrum of the National Assembly, informing the public that he would lead Armenia based on that principle. "And if the citizens of Armenia decide that this should not be the case, then I myself call on them to hold a revolution. I believe that I am the only prime minister in the world who has called for a revolution in his own country if there is disagreement with the declared strategy," Pashinyan noted. In this regard, the Prime Minister noted that citizens haven't held a revolution because they have agreed with him. He noted that certain circles have used the Karabakh movement as a convenient loophole against the establishment of sovereignty, independence, statehood, and prosperity of Armenia. "And we must admit that it was used effectively," Pashinyan said. The Prime Minister also stated that citizens were satisfied with the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan, as evidenced by numerous sources and there are no facts that refute it.
