Turkish president reaffirms `unwavering support for Georgia`s  territorial integrity and sovereignty` 

ArmInfo. Turkey and Georgia will continue to act together. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart  Mikhail Kavelashvili in Ankara.

"I would like to reaffirm our unwavering support for Georgia's  territorial integrity and sovereignty. In particular, we contribute  to regional peace and cooperation through the mechanisms in the  "troika" format that we have established with Azerbaijan and Georgia,  especially in the field of foreign policy and security.  We plan to  hold another meeting of the "troika" foreign ministers in our country  in the near future. After the opening of our parliaments, we also  plan to hold a meeting of the "troika" parliamentary chairmen,"  Erdogan said, as reported by Anadolu. Erdogan noted that he and  Georgian President Kavelashvili also discussed issues of Black Sea  security, peace processes in the Caucasus, the war in Ukraine and the  humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza: "Turkey and Georgia will continue  to work together to ensure cooperation, peace and development in our  region and beyond. The vision we outlined during today's talks  demonstrates our determination to build not only the present, but  also the future of our region."

Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that he conveyed to Kavelashvili his  expectations regarding the safe and dignified return of the Ahiska  Turks to their homeland, which is of great importance to them  (according to Anadolu, he ).

"Turkey will continue to provide all possible support to ensure the  successful advancement of this process.  I want to express my sincere  confidence that the strategic partnership between Turkey and Georgia  will be further strengthened thanks to the will of our peoples," he  said.
