Armenian premier raised issue of 23 Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan  at White House- spokesperson 

ArmInfo.  The Prime Minister's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan assures that the issue of releasing Armenians from Azerbaijani captivity was discussed in  Washington with US President Donald Trump precisely on the initiative  of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Absurd assumptions are circulating on the Internet that Prime  Minister Pashinyan spoke out in Washington against the return of our  compatriots held in Azerbaijan, or some of them.

The Prime Minister has repeatedly noted that representatives of the  Republic of Armenia constantly raise this issue at meetings in  various formats and are looking for ways to resolve it.

At a meeting with US President Donald Trump, this issue became a  subject of discussion on the initiative of Prime Minister Pashinyan.  Moreover, the Prime Minister spoke about this issue in full, and not  in parts>, she wrote.

A bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on  August 8 at the White House, US President Donald Trump promised to  assist in the release of 23 Armenians held in Azerbaijani prisons.   Trump mentioned the 23 Christian Armenians held captive in Baku and  stressed that he would ask Aliyev to release them. "I think they will  do it for me. It is important, isn't it?" he addressed Pashinyan.
