<Undoubtedly, peace and stability in the Caucasus serve the interests of all countries in the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran, welcoming the completion of the peace agreement text preparation by the two countries, considers this event as an important step towards achieving lasting peace in the region. At the same time, we express concern over the negative consequences of any form of external interference , especially near shared borders, which could undermine the security and stability of the region>, the statement says.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, creation of communication routes in the region and unblocking of transport networks will contribute to the stability, security and economic development of the peoples of the region, only if it occurs within the framework of mutual interests, with respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries in the region and without external interference. <The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to continue constructive cooperation, based on mutual interests, with both the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia to safeguard peace in the region, stability and economic development through bilateral and regional interaction, including the <3+3> mechanism,> the Foreign Ministry noted.
