ArmInfo. Retired Colonel Migran Makhsudyan called the charges brought against him and the participants of the Sacred Struggle movement "fabricated and false." He wrote about this in a letter from the pretrial detention center.
"I received the hardest blows in my life in my youth, when I lost my father, grandfather, and brother on the battlefield. They, like many Armenians, built our independence and statehood with their blood. I have dedicated my entire life to my homeland, my land, and my water. For thirty years, both on the battlefield and in peacetime, I have fought the enemy and am ready to fight until my last breath for our country and people.
The charges brought against me and my comrades in the struggle these days are fabricated and false. Their goal is to desecrate our pure goals and discredit our ideological struggle. But the truth will prevail sooner or later," he wrote.
Makhsudyan called on society to be united and resilient.
