ArmInfo. The fires that started a few days ago in the Akna region have spread to the village of Talish in the northeast and to Jrakan and Hadrut in the southeast, practically along the entire eastern border of the Republic of Artsakh. This was reported on his Facebook page by former Artsakh Minister of Culture Sergey Shahverdyan.
"The occupational Azerbaijani administration, in fact, does not take effective measures to extinguish the already raging and prevent the emergence of new potential sources of fire, contributing to a huge-scale environmental disaster in the controlled occupied territories.
I believe that the government of Armenia, environmental organizations and environmental activists should raise the issue of the responsibility of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the environmental damage caused to the Republic of Artsakh, which is under its temporary control, and demand immediate effective measures to extinguish the forest fires! It is our homeland that is burning!" Shahverdyan wrote.
