ArmInfo. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the death of a conscript of the Armenian border troops. This was reported to Armenpress by Kima Avdalyan, press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
As the press secretary of the Investigative Committee specified, the case was initiated under Article 522 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, which concerns driving a serviceman to suicide through negligence.
"Currently, the necessary urgent investigative and procedural actions are being carried out, and a forensic examination of the body has also been ordered," Avdalyan summarized.
Earlier, information appeared in the Armenian media that as a result of a fight between two border troops, an 18-year-old soldier died. Initially, it was reported that a knife and a machine gun were used in the fight, but later they began to write that the conscript committed suicide.
