Control over transport route through Syunik to provide USA with  access to huge mineral resources in area - opinion 

ArmInfo.  The United States, having gained control over the transport route through the Syunik region of Armenia, will gain access to colossal critical minerals in the territory of Syunik - 7% of the world's molybdenum reserves, 2% of the world's uranium reserves. This was stated by Russian political  scientist, historian, expert on the problems of the countries of the  Middle East and Central Asia Semyon Baghdasarov, touching upon the  circulating information that the United States will gain control over  the logistics route through Syunik.

The expert also believes that the United States is also trying to  take control of the most important logistics corridor in this region.

"What are the US trying to take under its control besides logistics?  Firstly, the US President is clearly "claiming" the Nobel Peace Prize  for "creating a miracle" in the form of a peace agreement between  Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Secondly, the US will gain access to colossal critical minerals in  the territory of Syunik (7% of the world's molybdenum reserves, 2% of  the world's uranium reserves, etc.)," the expert noted.

Referring to the so-called "Zangezur corridor" or the newly  introduced term "Trump bridge" from the point of view of Russia's  national security, Baghdasaryan stated that it is a powerful lever of  influence on the logistics of the entire post-Soviet space and China.

"According to the latest data, the American company that controls the  "corridor" will receive 40% of all profits, the Armenian side claims  30% of the income, however, there is also a "third" party that will  receive the remaining 30%. The third party is the Azerbaijani-Turkish  tandem," he noted, adding that the Armenian Prime Minister did  everything for the enemies of the Armenian people. Earlier, the media  began to circulate information that Armenia agreed to transfer  control over the 42 km route through Syunik to the United States. The  Armenian authorities say that this information is not true.
