Iran's long-standing policy remains unchanged in opposing any changes to the regional geopolitical map, as stated by the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, in a phone conversation with the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, the Iranian Mehr agency reports.
According to him, the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran remains firm against any changes in the regional geopolitics. Tehran considers this position beneficial to all regional parties. During the conversation, both regional and bilateral issues were discussed. Grigoryan briefed Ahmadian on the latest developments in negotiations with the Azerbaijani side and stressed that Armenia's position regarding regional transit routes has not changed. Ahmadian, in turn, expressed gratitude for Armenia's stance in condemning the Israeli regime's attack on Iran and reaffirmed Iran's consistent opposition to any changes in the region's geopolitical landscape. Both sides also underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the economic sphere.
