MP from  "Armenia" faction: Police  conducting illegal arrests in   Verin Dvin community

ArmInfo.  Residents of the Verin Dvin community in the Ararat region have reported that, officers from the Artashat police department of Armenia broke into the community and conducted illegal arrests early this morning. Zemfira Mirzoyeva, a member of parliament from the opposition "Armenia" faction, shared this information on her Facebook page.

She also pointed out that residents have been complaining that law  enforcement officers are preventing them from carrying out their  daily agricultural work and are demonstratively bragging about their  actions.  "We are terrorizing, we are doing the right thing, we will  soon bring in special forces," the MP quotes the police as saying.

"Moreover, they are arresting both men and women," Mirzoyeva added.   Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reports that  the detentions are taking place within the framework of a case of  hooliganism, but it does not explain which case they are referring to
