


ArmInfo. The new Yerevan Circus building may be confiscated by the state.
According to information posted on the judicial website dalatex.am, Chairman of the RA State Property Management Committee Arnak Avetisyan has filed a lawsuit to return the circus building and land plots to the Republic of Armenia. The lawsuit was filed on July 7 and will be considered by Judge Sargis Yeritsyan. The Committee will also seek reimbursement of all legal costs totaling 200,000 drams from the current owner of the circus building.
The Yerevan Circus was closed about 15 years ago. Tashir Company decided to construct a new, more modern circus building instead of the old one. Construction began in 2011 after an agreement was signed between the municipality and the Tashir Group of Companies. Since then, investments have exceeded $30 million.
