Seyran Ohanyan stripped of his parliamentary immunity

ArmInfo.Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the opposition faction "Armenia" in the National Assembly, was stripped of his parliamentary immunity.

This decision was made during an extraordinary session of the  National Assembly on July 7, where the ruling majority, with 59 votes  "for", approved the petition of Prosecutor General of the Republic of  Armenia Anna Vardapetyan to prosecute Seyran Ohanyan. The  parliamentary opposition did not participate in the vote.
