ArmInfo. On July 7, RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan requested the country's parliament to approve the initiation of criminal proceedings against Artur Sargsyan, a member of the National Assembly, in accordance with the Constitutional Law "On the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly".
The Prosecutor General, in particular, noted that on March 18, the investigative bodies received information about a planned act of terrorism and an attempt to seize power involving Vazgen Galstanyan, Artur Sargsyan, Movses Sharbatyan, Hayk Shahnazaryan, Tigran Topalyan, Igor Sargsyan and others between July 2024 - March 14, 2025. Based on the submitted materials, on March 18, 2025, a criminal case was launched by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under Part 1 of Article 43- 308 and Part 1 of Article 43-419 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
