David Ananyan: The ultimate goal of this political play is clear: the  Patriarch and the AAC

ArmInfo. Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan was expected. This is not a legal  process, but another act in a political play staged by the one who  usurped power. Former Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the  Republic of Armenia David Ananyan posted on his Facebook page.

According to him, the ultimate goal of this play is clear and  shocking: the goal is His Holiness the Patriarch, and the Armenian  Apostolic Church as the last stronghold of national identity. "This  is not a vendetta against individuals, but  a systematic program  against our historical memory, spiritual identity and the viability  of our statehood. There is an attempt  to destroy the spiritual home  and sanctuary where Armenians can still worship, can still draw  strength, can still remember who they are. Are we ready to resist? Do  we realize that this is a battle that goes beyond land, borders and  structures, the final battle for our identity. Vigilance, sobriety  and readiness are necessary. Each of us must decide  whether to  remain indifferent or to defend our conscience, our nation and our  church. Be ready to stand up at the first call.  Today, we hold the  key not only to today's survival, but also to rediscovering the  historical mission of shaping tomorrow's plans in accordance with the  message of our ancestors,"  David Ananyan wrote.
