ANC: Only Bolsheviks treated the AAC the worst

ArmInfo. The authorities' militarized attack on the Mother See of Etchmiadzin will be remembered in Armenian history as one of the most shameful pages.  Levon Zurabyan, Vice-Chairman of the Armenian National Congress,  wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his servants  in the Civil Contract party have gone too far today, and will now  be  referred to as janissaries.

"Only the Bolsheviks treated the Armenian Holy Church the worst.  Pashinyan's janissaries will soon surpass them. Our entire nation  must unite around the defense of democratic legality, the  Constitution and our identity," Levon Zurabyan noted.

In turn, former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan noted that the  invasion of the territory of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin is a  desecration of the Armenian Church and the cherished values of the  shrines of the Armenian people. "The authorities have ignited  extremely dangerous processes that are destroying the foundations of  our statehood and the pillars of our identity. They are keeping the  country in suspense, pitting people against each other and brazenly  speaking about the Armenian Church and our cherished values. Driven  by an obsession with preserving his power, Nikol Pashinyan personally  manipulates the law enforcement system for his own interests,  destroys the law and democracy, turning the country into a  dictatorship. What is happening is a gift for the occupation plans of  the Azerbaijani authorities," the human rights activist noted.
