ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has appointed a new head of the Food Safety Inspectorate.
According to the decision of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of June 24, Tigran Petrosyan was dismissed from the post of deputy head of the Food Safety Inspectorate. By another decision of the Prime Minister, he was appointed head of the agency.
Armen Danielyan, appointed to the post of head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia in November 2024, was dismissed on April 30, 2015 (before that, he was deputy head of the Office for Coordination of Activities of Inspectorate Bodies in the Office of the Prime Minister). Later, the Anti-Corruption Committee reported the detention of Danielyan and the submission of a petition for his arrest to the court. It is reported that the reason for the detention was suspicion of embezzlement of property on an especially large scale.
