ArmInfo. The Keron Foundation, within the framework of its Talent Pool program, will invite talented musicians and specialists from other countries to live, work and share their experience in Armenia, who will join the ranks of the National Philharmonic Orchestra.
The corresponding memorandum of cooperation was signed on June 19 by the director of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia Norayr Nazaryan and the chairman of the Keron Foundation Vanane Ararktsyan. In an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the memorandum signing ceremony, the artistic director and principal conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra Eduard Topchyan noted that today the orchestra lacks solo parts for trombone, piccolo flute, bassoon, trumpet and French horn. He expressed hope that thanks to this initiative, it will be possible to attract and fill the gap in the National Orchestra with high-level European musicians. These musicians, according to Maestro Topchyan, will also teach the younger generation of Armenian musicians, which will allow us to have a good brass school in Armenia in a few years, which, as he admitted, we are experiencing some difficulties with now. The younger generation, thanks to this, will be able to join the ranks of not only the Philharmonic, but also other orchestras of Armenia in the future and, as a result, present classical music to the world at a high level. , - Eduard Topchyan emphasized.
Head of the Keron Foundation Vanane Ararktsyan noted in turn that within the framework of the adopted policy, the Foundation has 5 strategic directions, which are aimed at changing the environment in our country. Among these 5 areas, pays the most attention to art and culture, given the weight of the implemented programs in these areas. , - she emphasized.
The program of the Foundation is aimed at attracting leading specialists from various fields around the world, creating sustainable opportunities for them to live and work in Armenia for a period of 3 to 5 years or more, as well as encouraging cooperation and knowledge transfer between fields to stimulate innovation and growth.
The Foundation itself was created quite recently - in the spring of 2024. Its mission is to promote transformative changes in Armenia through initiatives that support culture, education, sports, healthcare and territorial development, while supporting talent from around the world and strengthening local capabilities.
