ArmInfo.Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan has ordered that paper one-time transport tickets with QR codes be removed from circulation during the summer. He announced this on June 16 during a working meeting of the capital's municipality.
Presumably, as he noted, paper tickets will no longer be valid from August 1. The mayor instructed those responsible to hold discussions with TelCell on this matter. , - Avinyan emphasized.
Today Yerevan residents and guests of the capital can pay for public transport with a bank card, paper tickets with a QR code from TelCell (the cost of a one-time ticket is 150 drams) and transport cards introduced within the framework of a single ticket system.
The tariff for a single trip of 150 drams was achieved thanks to the boycott of city residents. Previously, the mayor's office proposed a tariff of 280-300 drams. At the same time, the city authorities have developed a number of ticket packages: 10 trips, there are also package offers for 30, 90 and 365 days.
