Deputy Defense Minister: the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani  border is relatively calm

ArmInfo. Currently, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively calm, and there is no reason for concern. Arman Sargsyan, Deputy Defense  Minister of Armenia, told journalists on June 13.

Discussing  the recent attack of the Israeli armed forces on Iran,  the Deputy Minister emphasized that any escalation in the region  is  a cause for worry for the Armenian side. He noted that if tensions  rise in the Syunik region due to the Iranian-Israeli conflict, the  Armenian Armed Forces are ready to respond within their capabilities  and competencies. "You understand that this scenario  may occur, but  the Republic of Armenia must make every effort to ensure that there  are no cases of escalation of the situation in the region  politically," the Deputy Minister of Defense said.
