ArmInfo.Fourteen stations are needed to monitor air pollution to cover the entire territory of Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan on June 11 during the discussions in the RA National Assembly committees on the implementation of the 2024 state budget of the Republic of Armenia.
According to him, as of now, two monitoring stations have been delivered to the republic in Yerevan, and their installation is currently underway. An agreement has been reached with international partners on the delivery of three more stations.
"I hope that these three stations will also be installed in the spring of next year," the minister noted, adding that last year alone, forests were planted on an area of 337 hectares using state budget funds. Over the past four years, 3.2 million trees have been planted. In addition, forest restoration work has also been carried out on an area of 1,200 hectares using grant funds from international organizations.
