ArmInfo.  There is only one official language in our country - Armenian, and this cannot change under any circumstances. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and  Sports of Armenia Zhana Andreasyan stated this to journalists during  a briefing on June 10, in response to a question about the possible  assignment of a new status to the Russian language in Armenia due to  the ratification of the  International Organization for the Russian  Language's project.

At the same time, she noted that in our region the Russian language  is extremely important for communication and fostering economic ties.
