Government to merge Mother Armenia museum and History Museum 

ArmInfo.  of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of  Armenia is being reorganized by merging with the state non-profit organization (SNCO) , and creating a branch of this organization - the Military History Museum . In addition, the monument located in the Victory Park will be transferred to the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports  and Sports. The decision was made by the Armenian Cabinet on June 5.

As stated in the explanation to the document, by the decree of the  Government of the Republic of Armenia dated 26.04.2016, the state  institution "Museum of Military History "Mother Armenia" of the  Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia was created, the  subject of whose activities is the replenishment, registration,  study, preservation and presentation to the public of exhibition  materials on Armenian military art, battles and military history in  the form of a museum exposition, registration and preservation of  samples transferred to the museum for permanent and temporary  storage, other museum exhibits, permanent and temporary public  exhibition of museum items and museum collections, etc. It is noted  that the bodies implementing museum activities mainly operate in the  status of state non-profit organizations, and at the same time, in  order to refrain from the process of creating a separate legal  entity, it was considered appropriate to reorganize the state  institution "Mother Armenia Military History Museum" by merging it  with the State Non-Commercial Organization "History Museum of  Armenia", creating a branch of the "Mother Armenia Military History  Museum" of the State Non-Commercial Organization "History Museum of  Armenia".
