ArmInfo. A protest was held in Yerevan outside the Armenian government building, organized by a group of citizens, mostly women, to express their dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's offensive statements against the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and its head.
Protesters hung leaflets outside the government building, urging people not to remain indifferent and to condemn the actions of the Armenian prime minister. In a conversation with journalists, the protesters pointed out that over the last five years, Nikol Pashinyan has consistently undermined national interests, destroying the foundations of the state system, and is now targeting one the most significant institutions in the country - the Armenian Apostolic Church. The protesters also noted that the Armenian people have already "digested" the loss of Artsakh, and warned that staying silent in this situation could lead to the loss of Armenia. They expressed confidence that Pashinyan's actions indicate his disregard for the country's Constitution. According to the protesters, the Armenian Apostolic Church is now the only institution actively fighting to preserve the country. This is why it has become a new target for the authorities.
