ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent blasphemies against the Armenian Apostolic Church are not isolated incidents - they are part of a systematic and externally directed attack on national values and institutions, as noted in a statement by the Council of the National Democratic Pole (NDP). "On one hand, the leadership of Azerbaijan is actively trying to appropriate the entire heritage of the Armenian Apostolic Church, starting with one of its founding fathers, the apostle St. Bartholomew, and on the other hand, the current authorities of Armenia spare no effort to discredit and devalue the Armenian Apostolic Church as an institution that carries national identity.
All of this is not an accidental or spontaneous phenomenon, but a clearly politically planned process, the purpose of which is to belittle and eliminate the most important pillars of Armenian identity, psychologically disarming the Armenian people in the face of daily acts of aggression, depriving them of any spiritual value as a necessary prerequisite for voluntary resistance and action," the NDP believes.
The political force has emphasized the deep political significance of this process, particularly evident in the noticeable resurgence of traditional and Christian values in the West, reclaiming their influence in political and public spheres. "The obsession with the "fashion of education" of the Armenian people is gradually becoming a reality of "desecrating" them, attempting to remove and oppose them to civilizational development. This barbaric attack on identity demands a serious and sober assessment, resistance and unity in our society," the NDP stated, urging the Armenian people to wake up.
