ArmInfo. Armenia considers Kazakhstan to be a reliable and promising partner in the region. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan made this statement during a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Arman Shakkaliyev at the Astana International Forum (AIF).
Papoyan also conveyed his belief that enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan could greatly contribute to strengthening stability and prosperity of the entire Eurasian region. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between the countries, especially in pharmaceuticals and export of precious stones and metals.
Discussing bilateral cooperation in agriculture, he noted that Armenia is interested in increasing exports from the Armenian agro-industrial complex, and importing breeding animals from Kazakhstan. Papoyan presented to Shakkaliev the investment and business environment of Armenia, as well as the RA government's Crossroads of Peace project. It positions Armenia as a platform for sustainable cooperation, logistics, trade and humanitarian partnership, bridging the North and South, East and West.
