ArmInfo. In the South Caucasus, Russia has experience of interaction with Turkey through the regional consultative platform "3+3". Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made this statement during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, after talks in Moscow.
He mentioned that the format includes three regional countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia and their three large regional neighbors - Russia, Iran and Turkey. "This format has already proven its effectiveness. We will continue it," the Russian minister said.
In turn, Fidan noted that in the light of the developments in the South Caucasus, support was expressed for the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process. Fidan assured that Azerbaijan is pursuing a very wise line in the South Caucasus.
