ArmInfo. Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto. The meeting took place first in a tete-a-tete format, followed by extended discussions with the participation of delegations.
As reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, the interlocutors discussed bilateral agenda issues. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the results achieved through joint efforts in recent years to develop bilateral relations and expressed hope that the opening of diplomatic representations in the capitals of both countries would provide additional impetus for advancing the cooperation.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Hungary touched upon various initiatives, including signing of documents in sectoral areas, as well as the program to host children forcibly displaced from NK and their accompanying persons in Hungary as part of the support extended by Hungary. Ararat Mirzoyan and Peter Szijjarto also discussed the priorities of the Armenia-EU cooperation and joint steps aimed at deepening the partnership.
The issues related to regional security were also touched upon. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the efforts being made to establish peace in the South Caucasus, including the signing of the Peace Treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
