ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, where he honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in Ottoman Turkey.
The head of the Slovak government was accompanied by the Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vahan Kostanyan and Vice Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Robert Fico laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and honored the memory of the holy martyrs with a minute of silence. According to the source, in accordance with tradition, the Slovak Prime Minister planted a silver fir in the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Park.
It should be noted that Robert Fico was in Armenia on an official visit from May 25 to 27. During his stay in Armenia, the Prime Minister of Slovakia met with the head of the RA government Nikol Pashinyan and took part in the annual forum "Yerevan Dialogue".
