As reported by the Kremlin, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in the meeting on the Russian side. No other details were provided.
Meanwhile, as Anadolu reports with reference to its sources, the recent efforts aimed at ending the war between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the developments following the talks held in Istanbul on May 16, were discussed during the meeting. The parties also exchanged views on issues in the field of economics and energy.
It is reported that Fidan also held a meeting in Moscow with Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. The latter heads the Russian delegation at the Istanbul peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
