ArmInfo. There is a detainee in the case of theft of 590 thousand dollars from the building of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia, the Anti-Corruption Committee reports.
According to the information, based on the message received from the Investigative Committee of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 446 (official negligence resulting in property damage on an especially large scale) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, as well as Points 2 and 4 of Part 3 of Article 254 (theft on an especially large scale committed by illegally entering a building) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia on the fact of theft of an especially large amount from the administrative building of the Main Department for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, located at 3 Deghatan Street in Yerevan.

Earlier, the Pastinfo publication reported that material evidence - $590 thousand - was stolen from the building of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan. It was noted that the safe where the money was kept was on the 6th floor, where the intruder entered with a fake investigator's pass. According to the publication, the head of the 5th department of the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee was detained.
