ArmInfo. The presentation of the re-published "Atlas of the Historical Cartography of Armenia" created by Armenian cartographer Zadik Khanzadian was held in Moscow.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Armenian Museum in Moscow, the atlas contains over 500 maps spanning the main periods of Armenian history, from ancient Babylon to the present day. The atlas is published in Armenian, Russian and French and is decorated with traditional Armenian ornaments. During the presentation, historians emphasized the significance of the map in modern information confrontation in terms of conveying historical facts.
According to the source, copies of the newly published atlas have been distributed to leading museums in Russia, educational institutions and Armenian studies centers, and will soon be donated to cultural institutions in other countries. The reissue was carried out upon the initiative of the Tekeyan Cultural Union and with the patronage of philanthropist Ruben Grigoryan.
