ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities have decided to extend the period for providing assistance to the families of missing servicemen by two months. The resolution was adopted on May 15 at a regular government meeting.
As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the RA Government Resolution of December 10, 2020 provides for the provision of social assistance in the form of a monthly cash payment to the family of a serviceman, including March 2025, in the amount of 300,000 drams per month, but not more than until the court recognizes the missing serviceman as missing.
Since April 1, 2025, assistance to the families of 21 missing servicemen, for whom no court decisions have been issued on recognizing them as missing as of 2025, has been suspended. In connection with the current circumstances, it is proposed to extend the support payment period until May 2025 inclusive.
Funding for providing support to the families of 21 missing servicemen who are beneficiaries for April- May 2025 will amount to 12,600,000 drams.
