The strengthening of the relations between Armenia and Hungary is an important goal on the political agenda of the Republic of Armenia" The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, the deputy representing the Yazidi community Rustam Bakoyan noted at the meeting with the deputies representing national minorities of the National Assembly of Hungary.
The deputy representing the Russian community in parliament Aleksey Sandikov also took part in the meeting held on May 14.
"In the coming days the first resident embassy of Armenia will be opened in Budapest," Rustam Bakoyan said and expressed hope that Hungary will also set up a resident diplomatic mission in Yerevan.
The MP spoke about the importance of mutual visits of high level between Armenia and Hungary, highly appreciated the creation of friendship groups in two parliaments, which will promote the strengthening of ties between the peoples.
Rustam Bakoyan informed the guests about having representatives, 4 biggest national minorities in the parliament of Armenia, mentioning that the latter permanently raise issues of concern to their communities.
"I believe that the cooperation between the sides and the exchange of experience will contribute to the strengthening of the parliament-national minorities relationship," the Deputy Chair of the Committee stated.
The Spokesperson of the Armenian Autonomy in the National Assembly of Hungary Nikogosz Akopjan spoke about their activities in the parliament of Hungary and highlighted the bilateral cooperation.
