ArmInfo. The age limit for admitting children to schools in Armenia may be raised to 7 years in certain cases. This was written on her Facebook page by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan.
In particular, she noted that during the admission process to school, the children's need for special conditions for the development of education will be taken into account, and, depending on this, a decision may be made to enroll some children in the first grade upon reaching the age of seven based on their interests.
The Minister noted that parents can submit their comments on the idraft platform, where proposals for regulating this issue will be published.
According to the current procedure, children who turn 6 years old before the end of the calendar year, inclusive, on December 31, may enroll in the first grade of an educational institution. Admission of younger children to an educational institution is prohibited
