Ignition of Mother Armenia faction member`s car has political  implications 

ArmInfo.  The car of the family of Gevorg Stepanyan, a member of the Mother Armenia faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, was burned. It was parked in the yard of his house. This is stated in a statement received by ArmInfo by the leader of the Mother Armenia faction Andranik Tevanyan.

The politician noted that firefighters and police have already  completed work at the scene. Tevanyan also drew attention to the fact  that Stepanyan himself is not a conflict person and this incident has  a political subtext. "Gevorg is not a conflict person in  interpersonal relationships and does not have personal enemies.  We  perceive this as a response to his activities, based on his social  status," Tevanyan wrote.

In turn, Stepanyan demonstrated the consequences of the incident in a  published video, noting that the entire car burned down. He said that  unknown persons broke the car window and set his wife's car on fire.   At the same time, he added that this incident did not surprise him  and was expected.

"We have returned to the 90s, when cars were burned. In fact, those  who did this managed to show their true colors. But you will not  achieve anything this way; no matter what you try to do, you will  still be held accountable for your actions," Stepanyan said.

The political force is confident that these actions followed after  Stepanyan uncovered a number of corruption schemes in the capital's  municipality.
