ArmInfo. Any manifestation of violence, both physical and verbal in the form of insults, provocations - is unacceptable for us. This was stated by Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a working meeting of the mayor's office on May 5, commenting on the recent incident in the Nor Nork administration involving its head Tigran Ter-Margaryan and activist Artur Chakhoyan.
"Every employee of the Yerevan City Hall, especially the heads of administrative districts, who are the mayor's representatives in a given district, are obliged to show restraint under any circumstances," the mayor said.
In this vein, Avinyan pointed out the need to approve a code of conduct for his team. Noting that provocations will be an integral part of life in the age of technology, especially given the obsession of many with creating a hit on the TikTok platform, he pointed out the importance of being able to restrain oneself:
"So that not a single muscle trembles, so that an eyebrow is not raised."
At the same time, the mayor noted that he would not undertake to give an assessment, since all this is entrusted to the criminal investigation and the court. He noted that the mayor's office has over 100 projects related to kindergartens, of which 40 have already been completed, 4-5 are problematic, which, as he assured, will definitely be resolved. , - Avinyan noted. At the same time, he emphasized that such an act on the part of the activist is a provocation, since the head of the Nor-Nork administrative district is in no way connected with these problematic projects, with the acceptance of the work. , - Avinyan said.
In turn, the head of the Nor-Nork administrative district Tigran Ter-Margaryan agreed that what happened was a rather unpleasant sight. , - Ter- Margaryan noted during the meeting.
A few days earlier, activist Artur Chakhoyan, together with a member of the Council of Elders of the Yerevan City Hall from the Mother Armenia faction Mesrop Manukyan, went live on air from the territory of one of the Yerevan kindergartens, for the improvement of which the city hall allocated 300 million drams. However, the work was done poorly. After such a broadcast, Tigran Ter-Margaryan lashed out with insults in a telephone conversation with Artur Chakhoyan, which he himself confirmed in an interview with one of the media, adding that he does not regret what he said at all. Ter-Margaryan noted that what Chakhoyan and Mesropyan did was a provocation, since the mayor's office has not yet adopted an act on these works, and accordingly, the funds have not yet been transferred due to the fact that there are certain problems with the builders.
After the insults were voiced, Chakhoyan and Mesropyan held a protest and poured yogurt on a poster with Ter-Margaryan's image. Then the activist expressed a desire to discuss the situation with the kindergarten at a table in the presence of the media with the prefect, having come to the Nor-Nork administration. However, the employees stated that Chakhoyan had insulted them all with his actions, as a result of which a verbal altercation ensued, which escalated into a fight. At the same time, several employees attacked Chakhoyan, who was joined by the prefect Tigran Ter-Margaryan, who came out of his office. As a result, Chakhoyan was hospitalized in the Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center. A criminal case has been opened.
