Armenian weightlifter wins gold at World Junior Championships

ArmInfo.  Grigor Ghazaryan, a member of the Armenian youth weightlifting team, won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships held in the capital of Peru, Lima.

As specified by the press service of the Ministry of Education,  Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) of Armenia, in the biathlon, the  Armenian weightlifter showed a result of 330 kg (145+185 kg).

Ghazaryan also won gold medals in individual exercises. In the  snatch, he successfully completed three approaches, lifting barbells  weighing 138, 142 and 145 kg. In the clean and jerk, the Armenian  weightlifter held barbells weighing 175, 180 and 185 kg over his  head.
