Armenia defeating Armenia and Syria, Turkiye deals with Cyprus issue  - expert 

ArmInfo.  After the defeat and, in essence, the establishment of political control over Armenia, the defeat of Syria and the establishment of full control over it, Turkey has specifically taken on Cyprus. Caucasian studies expert Karen Igityan holds a similar opinion.

The expert, commenting on Erdogan's visit to Northern Cyprus and the  statements made there, noted that the Turkish leader, at a meeting  with the head of the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus", declared  his readiness to defend Northern Cyprus at the cost of his own life.

Igityan noted that when answering a question about the "anti-Turkish  statements" of the head of the Cypriot Orthodox Church and "signs of  the revival of the EOKA terrorist organization in southern Cyprus,"  Erdogan expressed a tough stance: "Societies that do not learn from  history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes. I strongly condemn  any statements that violate the language of peace in Cyprus and  endanger future generations. Those who resort to terror, who ignore  the Cypriot Turks, should know that they will face an even stronger  Turkey. Instead of statements that increase tension, using  constructive and unifying language will be more beneficial for the  future of the island."

Erdogan also assured that "Turkey is not the same Turkey as before,  the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is not the same republic, and  the world is not the same world." "They should understand this well.   In 1974, we did not have serious weapons. We came to this island with  weapons provided by others to bring peace. Today, Turkey is far  superior to those times. Turkey has become a rising star in the world  with its original developments and local production in the defense  industry," Erdogan boasted, adding that Turkiye is among the world's  top three leaders in UAV production.
