On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the occupied village of Vank in the Martakert region of Artsakh has been destroyed by Azerbaijani vandals. The State Service for the Protection of the Historical Environment, Artsakh Monuments, reported on its Facebook page, along with photos of the vandalism. "The anti-Armenian, destructive policy of barbaric Azerbaijan in Artsakh continues. Everything Armenian is being mercilessly destroyed. The nomads have destroyed the monument to the victims of the Patriotic War of 1941-45 in the village of Vank in the Martakert region, the khachkar honoring the memory of the Artsakh Liberation War victims, and the memorial wall with sculptures of fallen liberator soldiers," the statement said.
