ArmInfo. On April 23, an official commemoration event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at Montmartre Square near the City Hall of the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in France, the ceremony was attended by the Mayor of the 15th arrondissement of Paris, Philippe Goujon, the First Secretary of the Armenian Embassy in France and Consul, Liana Ghukasyan, members of the city council and representatives of the French Armenian community, who laid wreaths in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Also, the national anthems of Armenia and France were played at the end of the event. On the eve of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a solemn ceremony of lighting the facade of the Palais de Pharo of the city administration building with the colors of the Armenian tricolor took place on April 22. The initiative came from the Mayor of Marseille Benoit Payan and the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in the South of France CCAF Sud.
