ArmInfo. Vahagn Aleksanyan, the Deputy of the ruling faction in the National Assembly, believes that coverage of the "trial" against the military-political leadership of Artsakh in Baku, giving it special meaning, does not serve the interests of Armenia's political agenda. He stated this to journalists on April 21 in parliament, in response to a question about why the Public TV of Armenia, funded by taxpayers' money, does not cover this topic in any way.
"In my understanding, this stems from Azerbaijan's political agenda, because you are covering what Azerbaijan has been broadcasting for a certain period of time, in a particular format, with specific shots, that are well thought out, well developed and with a specific set of words," he said. In response to a clarifying question about whether this means that "the trial in Baku should not be covered in Armenian media at all," Aleksanyan replied: "I suggest covering it correctly."
