Opposition seeking political mileage from Karabakh Armenians`  problems - MP

ArmInfo.  The Armenian authorities do not spread words of hatred towards the internally displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated to  journalists on April 21 by Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the  National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the ruling Civil  Contract faction.

According to him, the opposition is really trying to use the problem  of the displaced persons for its own purposes, introducing all sorts  of assertions through its media outlets and building its hypotheses  on these grounds. The opposition's actions are quite obvious, the  parliamentarian believes, adding that the idea of hatred and  hostility towards them from the authorities is being introduced among  the Karabakh Armenians, in order to then direct their potential  against the same authorities.

As for the actions aimed at raising the flag of Nagorno-Karabakh,  according to Aleksanyan, this is being done in order to gradually  replace the NKR flag with the Russian flag instead of the Armenian  flag. The example of the new mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan, who  already the next day after the inauguration announced the possibility  of Armenia joining the Russia-Belarus union, is a clear confirmation  of this. The politician emphasized that the opposition itself in  Nagorno-Karabakh changed the government, liquidated the NKR, and then  tried to shift all the blame for the closure of the Nagorno-Karabakh  page onto the current government in Armenia. "In general, the  opposition's policy consists of falsifications and more  falsifications. It is aimed at using the topic of Karabakh Armenians  for its own political purposes," said the deputy from the ruling  party.
