ArmInfo. Honored Architect of Armenia Artak Ghulyan and Director of the Stepanavan Arboretum "Sochut" of the State Non-Commercial Organization "Reserve and Park Complex" of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia Vitaly Leonovich have passed away.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Artak Ghulyan left a significant mark on the architectural sphere of the country, having shown himself as a talented architect-restorer and scientist, as well as a designer of new buildings. "His professional activity covers not only the creation of architectural objects, but also the writing of a number of scientific articles. New churches have been built according to Ghulyan's projects both in Armenia and in different countries of the world. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Ghulyan," the statement of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia says.
The death of Vitaly Leonovich was reported by the Ministry of Environment of Armenia. "The staff of the Ministry of Environmental Protection expresses condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues and all those who knew him and appreciated his dedication.
His name will forever remain in the history of the Armenian environmental movement as an exemplary person who dedicated his entire life to nature, acting with quiet but firm steps," the ministry said in a statement.
